I recently purchased Teratec Elbow Guards to wear under my R-Core X pants as light weight protection that I can pedal with. I used my new elbow and knee pads last week and experienced a violet crash that left me pretty banged up. The pads saved my knees and elbows and stayed in place through the fall. If you want tough proctection without the weight and bulk, I highly recommend Teratec!
