A Graduate of the European Red Bull Rookies Cup, The young South African entered the Moto3 paddock in 2015. With a difficult debut onto the world stage, Binder showed he has what it takes to belong in the series with a top 5 finish in 2016. Despite injuries in 2017, Darryn took a handful of top 10 finishes and in 2018 made the move over to Red BUll KTM Ajo where he eventually landed his first podium finish in Moto3. In 2019 Binder joined the CIP Green Power Moto3 team where he added a 2nd podium finish in Argentina. More Podiums came in 2020 and now for 2021, Darryn has made a name for himself in the paddock with his consistent results and climbing up in the Moto3 class. For 2021 The South African will be joining the Petronas Sprinta Racing team where his teammates in the MotoGP class include the world heavyweight talents of Rossi and Morbidelli.
